Covid-19 Homeowner Update

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #8

April 8th, 2021

To our valued clients,

As of April 8th 2021, the province has entered another Stay-at-Home Order for the next four weeks, or until further notice, in an effort to control the COVID-19 pandemic. To follow all restrictions and protocols, our sales centres will be open by appointment only. All PDI appointments and non-essential service calls will be postponed until further notice. Anyone taking delivery of their new home over the next 4 weeks will be contacted directly to make appropriate arrangements.

Due to the imposed measures, some design appointments will be postponed until further notice. Your designer will reach out to you directly if they require an appointment to be made. Any design appointment already scheduled may be postponed, and your designer will contact you to reschedule.

Construction on all current sites will continue with all our existing COVID protocols to keep everyone on the job site safe. As always, the safety of our trades, suppliers and labourer’s is our number one priority.

Please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail or telephone, should you have any further questions. Our team is working hard to continue to give you the best customer service possible while keeping our purchasers and employees safe.

We thank you for your continued cooperation and support. Please stay safe and stay home.

Best regards,

Marz Homes

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #7

January 19th, 2021

To our valued clients,

With the implementation of another provincial lockdown taking effect on Jan 14th, 2021, we will be adjusting our services to follow all lockdown guidelines. Our offices and showrooms will be closed until the lockdown is lifted. We will also be putting all homeowner inspections and in-person appointments on hold. Our offices will still be open to receive any emails or phone calls regarding you past, current or future purchase.

This situation is an ongoing process that we will continue to monitor and provide updates as soon as we can. Our hope is that these circumstances will not affect our closing dates and construction progress going forward. However, in the case that it does, we will reach out to each purchaser to provide them with an update.

We are also continuing to work within safety guidelines such as proper distancing, limited access from trades and sanitation protocol. This may impact repair timelines as it can become more difficult to coordinate trade schedules.

For those who have not yet moved into their new home, we are moving along as efficiently as possible while ensuring the health and safety of our staff and workers.  This requires Marz Homes to continue with certain safety guidelines such as proper distancing, limited access from trades and sanitation protocol.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation. Once the lockdown has been lifted, we will provide more information as we get back to our “near-normal” operations. If you have any questions, please contact us by phone at 906-662-3039 or at reception@marzhomes.com.

Best Regards,

Marz Homes

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #6

August 4th, 2020

To our valued clients,

The last few months have been quite an experience for us all. We have all dealt with many changes to our lives and working arrangements. The past few weeks, however, have shown promise and a return to normal life. Or as normal as it can be under the ongoing circumstances.

We are happy to share that as Hamilton has moved into stage 3, we are now able to resume services and once again fully open our doors, with some exceptions we will outline below. As of August 4th, clients and our partners will once again be able to enter our offices for meetings and to drop off paperwork, as long as they follow the proper protocols mandated by the City, including the proper use of PPE.

Our décor centre has resumed normal appointment offerings; however our décor centre open house hours will remain closed at this time. We are hopeful that in the coming weeks, we will once again be able to offer this service to our purchasers.

PDI’s and service appointments have also resumed and are being offered in a similar fashion as before the pandemic. If you have outstanding work that needs to be done, please be patient with our team and  trades, as we work through the backlog of outstanding appointments.

By the end of this week, all closing dates will be revised (where necessary) or confirmed if they remain unchanged.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation over the last few months. We are looking forward to returning to near-normal operations. If you have any questions, please contact us by phone at 906-662-3039 or at reception@marzhomes.com

Best Regards,

Marz Homes

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #5

June 12th, 2020

We hope you are keeping well and have remained safe during this time.  It has been a few weeks since our last update so we would like to provide some further information regarding the status of our new home construction sites and the building of your new home.

Although it has been welcome news to hear some provincial restrictions are being lifted, it is important to note that our build process remains the same since the beginning of this pandemic.

We continue to move our sites along as efficiently as possible while ensuring the healthy and safety of our staff and workers.  This requires Marz Homes to continue with certain safety guidelines such as proper distancing, limited access from trades and sanitation protocol.  As we adjust to this new building practice, we are becoming better able to assess timelines and inform new homeowners with more accurate dates.

We understand that the more notice available to our clients regarding closing dates, the better able you are to make the appropriate accommodations. Therefore, moving forward, we will be reaching out personally to those buyers closing within next 60 days, as opposed to 30-45 days previously stated.  Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and will do our best to keep you up to date.

Best Regards,

Marz Homes

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #4

May 22nd, 2020

The Marz Homes team remains committed to helping our team members, clients and the communities we build, navigate through COVID-19 together.  Based on the provincial announcement made last week, restrictions on the residential construction industry have been loosened resulting in the ability to excavate new builds and the ability to obtain building permits previously and currently submitted.

Although this is welcome news, it is important to remember that delays are still a possibility as municipalities sort through the backlog, and we continue to operate under new construction policies that have been previously outlined (Example: One trade in a home at a time, etc).

At the beginning of the outbreak, Marz Homes implemented measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our team members, clients and our construction sites. We will continue to maintain our high level of diligence and operate under these guidelines. As previously stated, we will do our best to inform our buyers with updates on our website and we will reach out directly to those closing within the next 30-45 days.

Once again we thank you for your patience and hope you and your loved ones remain safe.

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #3

May 7th, 2020

First and foremost we would like to thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support.  The past several weeks have been unlike anything we’ve ever experienced, and we are working hard to prepare for the Ontario government to begin loosening restrictions. Although these coming changes to the current guidelines will be a welcome adjustment, we must keep in mind that things are not back to pre-COVID times just yet.

It really can’t be said enough – your health, and the health of our employees, trades and partners are our priority. Every decision we make is through that lens. With this in mind, our work sites will continue to operate under our new COVID guidelines with all rules remaining in place – social distancing, sanitary stations, one trade in a home at a time, etc.

Although construction restrictions have eased as a whole, residential construction sites have not incurred substantial change.  We are continuing to work with local municipalities to ensure we are providing you with the clearest and most up to date information possible.

To date, we are still prohibited from receiving new permits for the purpose of starting a new home, however once that restriction is lifted, we will move forward as expeditiously as possible.  It is important to keep in mind that a backlog will be expected once restrictions ease, however, we will continue to provide updates to help coordinate any plans that need to be made.

Thank you and stay safe.

Marz Homes

Homeowner Covid-19 Update #2

April 28th, 2020

As we provide our latest update, we hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.  Although it is encouraging to hear positive results regarding the coronavirus and the flattening of the curve, it is very evident that we are not in the clear just yet.

Although the provincial government outlined its phasing plans yesterday, the timelines for implementation have not yet been determined. Therefore, we will continue to operate under the previously established parameters in all areas of our business.

We understand that some of you may have questions and we will do our best to respond, however please note that our website will provide the latest updates as we move forward.  Other social media outlets will be updated periodically but will not act as a form of communication between Marz Homes and its buyers.  Questions of an urgent nature should be directed through our realtors at Royal LePage State Realty unless some other form of communication has already been established.

Once again, New Home Buyers that have closings within the next 30-45 days are/will be contacted individually to discuss specifics regarding closing of their new Home.  Those who have a closing date further than 45 days are encouraged to continue visiting our website for further updates.

Furthermore, buyers who may be relying on selling their existing property in order to close on their New Marz Home should contact their Royal LePage State Representative to discuss timing concerns.  We will do our best to accommodate adjustments required in order to make this process as easy as possible

We want to thank everyone again for your continued patience as we maneuver through this difficult time.  We will do our best to share any new information as it becomes available.

Thank you and stay safe.

Marz Homes
