The last few months have been quite an experience for us all. We have all dealt with many changes to our lives and working arrangements. The past few weeks, however, have shown promise and a return to normal life. Or as normal as it can be under the ongoing circumstances.  

 

We are happy to share that as Hamilton has moved into stage 3, we are now able to resume services and once again fully open our doors, with some exceptions we will outline below. As of August 4th, clients and our partners will once again be able to enter our offices for meetings and to drop off paperwork, as long as they follow the proper protocols mandated by the City, including the proper use of PPE.   

 

On the construction front, our sites are fully operational, apart from some ongoing enhanced procedures to ensure the safety of our trades and partners. Some examples of these precautions include restrictions on the number of workers in a home at a time, bans on the sharing of tools unless properly sanitized, staggered break and lunch times, and increased hand sanitizing stations and washrooms. All of our trades are independent contractors, so these precautions are in addition to regulations set in place by their own respective employers. While this may extend construction time, it is imperative that these rules remain in place to protect our team.  

 

Our Design Team and Service Department have once again begun to offer appointments; however, our décor centre will remain closed to the general public for the time being. If you have an in-person appointment, a covid waiver form and appropriate social distancing and PPE processes will be in place. Our Service Department continues to prioritize emergency calls, and emergency contact information can be here. 

 

If you are still looking to buy a new home, our sales teams are offering exclusive VIP appointments for all of our sites that can be done in-person or virtually. This enhanced experience prioritizes your safety, while giving you one-on-one attention throughout your home buying process. We hope you and your family are doing well and adjusting to the new reality of this prolonged state of emergency. 

 

Over the past few months, new home construction has continued throughout the shutdown as it was deemed an essential service. Due to enhanced precautions, limited resources, labour shortages, and social distancing practices, timelines have had to be extended but we are still able to move forward with the production of our clients new homes. 

 

Some examples of the precautions we are taking on the construction sites include restrictions on the number of workers in a home at a time, bans on the sharing of tools unless properly sanitized, staggered break and lunch times, and increased hand sanitizing stations and washrooms. These restrictions were set early in this pandemic, and remain in place today and for the foreseeable future.  All of our trades are independent contractors, so these precautions are in addition to regulations set in place by their own respective employers. 

 

Within our office, there have been some significant adjustments made to help ensure the safety of our team.  Our office continues to remain closed to the public, but we are still available to assist you by phone or email.

We want to thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding during this uncertain time. As we’ve mentioned in our previous updates, we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely as the health and safety of our team and clients is of the utmost importance.

As you may be aware, the Ontario Government has deemed our business essential and our construction sites remain open; however, limited resources, labour shortages, and enhanced precautions and social distancing are impacting timelines and production.

Our main office is closed to all visitors, but our staff is still available to assist you. We are working in two 4-hour shifts to increase our social distancing, with several staff members working from home. Our Design Team and Service Department have halted all appointments for the time being; however, they are both available by phone and email. Our Service Department still remains open for emergency calls, and emergency contact information can be here.

Rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of our entire team, while continuing to push forward and help as many families as we can to get into their new homes.
