New Marz Homes are bullfrogpowered with 100% clean, green electricity

In 2010, Marz Homes partnered with Bullfrog Power to provide 100% clean, renewable electricity in each of its news homes. Thanks to Marz’s partnership with Bullfrog Power, the company and the homes it produces now have a zero energy footprint.

Homeowners pay for the cost of conventional electricity and, courtesy of Marz, Bullfrog Power’s generators inject clean, renewable electricity onto the regional grid to match the amount of power the Marz Home uses. In Ontario, Bullfrog's electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada under its EcoLogoM program—instead of from polluting sources like coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear.

More than 75 Marz Homes constructed and purchased in 2010 will qualify for this program, and they can be found in the following subdivisions currently in the construction phase:

  • Westbrooke Valley (Ancaster)
  • Southcote Woodlands (Ancaster)
  • Dewitte Orchards (Stoney Creek)
  • Windermere (Stoney Creek)
  • Aquamarine and Waterview Village (Stoney Creek)
Marz Homes also supports green electricity with Bullfrog Power for its head office, model homes and construction sites.

*Applies to homes that are constructed and purchased in 2010. Homeowners pay for the cost of conventional electricity and Marz covers the premium for greening the home’s electricity service with Bullfrog Power. Homes will be bullfrogpowered courtesy of Marz Homes for the 12 months following the home’s closing date. After the 12 months, homebuyers can opt to continue this green electricity program on their own.
